Kim Lanthorn

Hello! My name is Kim Lanthorn, I am the Director of Day Services here at Transitions Behavioral Health. I have been in this field for a total of 13 years. I started as an Intervention Specialist, was a Director of a School for students with disabilities, and then became a Director of an Adult Day Program. For the past five years I have worked at Transitions starting as community staff then transitioning to the Adult Day Program here. In 2022 I helped start the Early Intervention Program.

My “Why”- My daughter was diagnosed at age 5 with a processing delay and ADHD. Helping her get the appropriate support in her school was a daunting task and I decided then that my mission would be to help other children with disabilities and their families.I have loved every minute watching the progress of the 2 to 7 year olds in our EIBI program especially seeing them gain effective communication skills. Our Adult Day program, also called the “Best Friend Club” is full of love and has a staff that is unmatched.

In my free time I enjoy reading, crafting, spending time with my grandchildren and family, and my dream is to become a world traveler.
